All tutors at Alethea Tutoring are made aware of our standardised policies, and are required to adhere to them. All clients should also be aware of our policies before any agreement is reached, and should also keep abreast of any changes in our policies. Results Policy

While we do our utmost to ensure the quality of our tutors and the adherence of our lessons and materials to the standard Singapore curriculum, we have no power over the ultimate marking of examination scripts.

Hence, we cannot and do not guarantee any results for any of our students, and neither are we liable for the grades of any of our students that use our tutoring service and materials. Students are, however, free to review our service at their personal discretion. We leave our reputation to speak for itself.

Fee Policy

All fees for each individual lesson are to be paid in cash or by cheque at the end of each lesson, in the interest of avoiding conflict. Late payment may result in the cancellation of subsequent lessons.

Should there be a change in fees between lessons, the student will be properly informed beforehand, and be given the choice whether to continue.

All fees for special courses are fixed, and are to be paid for in cash or by cheque at the beginning of the course, and are generally non-refundable once the course begins. If the student wishes to terminate the course before completion, all fees paid are non-refundable. In the exceptional case that the tutor must terminate the course before completion, a fee proportionate to the non-completed lessons may be refunded at the discretion of Alethea Tutoring.

Scheduling Policy

Whenever possible, we encourage tutors to have a fixed weekly or bi-weekly schedule with their students, to be agreed upon at the start of undertaking lessons.

Should the student require a change in schedule, the onus is on the student to make arrangements with the tutor beforehand.

Should the tutor require a change in schedule, the student may exercise discretion. To the best of our ability, a replacement tutor will be found if a compromise is impossible.

Either student or Alethea Tutoring has the right to terminate a tutoring agreement at any point without prior notice. Should this occur, all outstanding fees must be payed immediately.

Material Policy

Unless otherwise stated, all teaching material provided by Alethea Tutoring during lessons, including but not limited to worksheets, revision tables, answer keys, and notes, are the property of Alethea Tutoring. As such, they are for the sole use of the student who receives them and may not be distributed to any other party without express prior permission from Alethea Tutoring.

Any breach of our material policy may result in the immediate termination of any tutoring agreement, and subsequent legal action.
